I have had this common goldfish for a while and he's gotten quite big (2 or 3 inches)! i didnt expect him to last this long (4 or 5 years) since i won him as a prize from a fair, so ive become attached to this poor guy. i believe he has dropsy since he's got pineconed scales but it's mostly by his head right after the gills and doesn't really pinecone on his body. i think his scales are starting to pinecone on his abdomen, but just on one side. a week or 2 weeks ago he had a pretty bad constipation problem, and ive heard dropsy can be caused by constipation. i put him in a gallon hospital tank but only filled it up half way because i put maracyn 2 in and it decreases the oxygen level i heard. i added a little bit of kosher salt because i heard salt can help with dropsy. now he's kind of gasping and i dont know what to do because i cant change the water with maracyn 2 in there and i dont have a pump to make bubbles. im beginning to think he doesnt need the maracyn 2 since i think it's just constipation but he pooped the peas out so i dont know what to do anymore! i dont want him to die and i desperately need help or advice that will save my poor goldfish. please and thank you
